We refer to our Announcement dated 18 July 2019.

The Board of Directors of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (“the Company”) wishes to announce that Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd (“MA Sepang”), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company, has through its solicitors initiated garnishee applications to enforce the three Kuala Lumpur High Court judgments dated 18 July 2019 which were awarded in favour of MA Sepang in its three civil suits against AirAsia Berhad and AirAsia X Berhad (collectively, “AirAsia”) for, amongst others, unpaid Passenger Service Charges.

On 6 September 2019, MA Sepang through its solicitors served the Garnishee Show Cause Orders dated 23 August 2019 to three of AirAsia’s banks, directing the banks to set aside the specified funds for the purpose of satisfying the full judgment sums which remain due and owing. On 10 September 2019, MA Sepang through its solicitors served the Garnishee Show Cause Orders to AirAsia’s solicitors.
