We refer to our Announcement dated 7 October 2019 wherein we announced that Malaysia Airports (Sepang) Sdn Bhd (“MA Sepang”), a wholly owned subsidiary of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (“the Company”), had been served with a Writ of Summons by AirAsia Berhad and AirAsia X Berhad (collectively, “AirAsia”) in respect of alleged losses and damages in the sum of RM479,781,285.00 (“the Civil Suit”).

The Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that on 25 March 2022, the Kuala Lumpur High Court dismissed an application by MA Sepang to strike out the Civil Suit. The decision of Kuala Lumpur High Court means that the Civil Suit will therefore proceed to trial.

MA Sepang will defend against AirAsia’s claim during the trial.
